Heroes Season 3

*****

When pretty much anyone can time travel or resurrect themselves, where is the drama and the tension? After a brilliant first season and a patchy second one, this poor third one feels like the last gasps of writers who are out of ideas.

These tiny treats are the ideal accompaniment to a cup of tea or coffee. Loved by adults and kids alike.

Wall-E

*****

A shocking disappointment for me and my kids. After all the hype, this competes with Ratatouille as the worst movie Pixar has ever made. Boring...

O'Conaill's Chocolate with Chilli

*****

Sorry no. I get the opposite in Mexican cooking. But here, the chilli overwhelms. Scraped off.

O'Conaill's Milk and White Chocolate Chips

*****

Today myself and Oisín had a day out to ourselves. It was very enjoyable as he's a highly entertaining fellow and was in top chatty form. We ambled about Cork city centre and inevitably visited O'Conaill's Chocolate shop on French...

Lost Season 4 Finale

*****

While still one of the most enjoyable shows on tv in my opinion, this finale did not have quite the impact of last years. Nevertheless, there was plenty action here mixed with some emotional scenes which, thanks to good acting, did not resort to cheesy...

Dirty Sexy Money

*****

I started off liking this and hoped it would go in a particular direction but it's degenerated badly after only four episodes. The focus on the bimbos and nitwits is very annoying. The interesting characters are Tripp and his wife. Even the Senator son who likes trannies could have some decent story lines if they tried. Initially the priest son had potential too. But it has all been squandered by turning them into incredibly boring caricatures. Who, apart from Hollywood execs, would think that anyone else would find rich self-obsessed spoiled brats interesting?
